Mental Health author and owner of the Comedy College Jim Rauth, explores his theory that a stand-up comic's brain can be damaged by to much laughter, and can be destroyed similar to that of a Methamphetamine user's brain. Then Rauth takes the question in the opposite direction: "Is there a population who's brains have underutilized the feel-good parts of their brains? Rauth visits the national organization for US veterans that are coping with PTSD and other mental health diagnosis's the DryHootch.org. Rauth interviews the national director Otis Winstead who feels that Rauth is onto somethings. Winstead allows Rauth to offer a free stand-up comedy course for veterans. Enter Tony Kuney an aspiring comedian, who is a struggling suicidal single father of two young children and is brought back to positive mental health when he shows up to a stand-up comedy course. But he first must face his father's unsolved murder, his ongoing divorce and his own suicide attempt before he complete his first stand-up gig.
